Sensory Swim Night will be held on December 17, 2016 at Hamme Pool from 5-7 p.m. Sensory Swim nights are sponsored by the Alaska Center for Children and Adults in-part through a grant from Alaska USA and are open to families who are supporting children who experience disabilities that increase their sensitivity to sensory stimuli, such as autism, sensory processing disorders and fetal alcohol spectrum disorders. This is a family event. Everyone in the family is welcome, and all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Those who are unable to swim independently must have an adult in the water with them at all times. A light meal will be served, and parents will have the opportunity to network with one another in a welcoming setting.
